3Stars Net NV/SA was founded in 1991 by Max Heilbron, who is also its CEO. Initially the company operated under the name of Cardiophone, with telecom applications in the medical field. In 1993, Max Heilbron was also one of the founders and a director of Viatel Belgium and The Netherlands. Under his impulse, Uninet International was founded by him in a joint venture with KPN in 1997. Uninet was taken over by an American telecom operator in November 2000, after which 3Stars Net came into operation.

Max Heilbron (40) therefore has a very wide experience in telecommunications in the Benelux and the rest of West Europe. He can boast an impressive track record in the marketing of these products and the development of creative solutions for complex telecom problems.  Max Heilbron studied in Europe as well as the USA and obtained MBAs with specialisation in management and international marketing. He devotes his spare time to his family, skiing and water-skiing, travelling and thinking up revolutionary new telecom products.
