Premium numbers

With its BIPT licence for ECS (Electronic Communication Service), 3StarsNet today has over 20,000 non-geographic numbers or premium numbers. These numbers are generally used to obtain certain services or products. The calling customer pays for the call and the owner of the number receives a payment or a retribution (i.e. part of the proceeds). The 0800 number is an exception, where the caller phones free of charge and the costs are paid by the owner of the 0800 number. Currently 3StarsNet offers the following premium numbers in Belgium: 0800, 078, 070, 0900, 0902, 0903, 0904, 0905, 0906, 0907 and 0909. International premium numbers are also available in 28 countries upon special request. Due to its operator status in Belgium, 3StarsNet is able to offer the best conditions in the market and has an in-house IVR platform especially designed for astrology, adult, gaming and other applications. All premium numbers can be forwarded to any destination in the world or be forwarded to VOIP.

New Belgian laws concerning Premium numbers

From the 1st of April 2008, new laws are applicable for premium numbers in Belgium. The following modifications have been made:

• Discontinue the 077 number range.
• The new number ranges 0906, 0907 and 0904 are created.
• Tariff announcements for all numbers which are more expensive then € 1.00/call or € 1.00/min.
• Limit the duration of all minute rated 090x numbers to maximum 10 minutes.
