A major European player in telecoms and cloud services, Sewan has established its business model to become a key player for companies wishing to simplify their communications. A pioneer in indirect sales in its sector, the group has launched an ambitious international development project that has resulted in several acquisitions in recent years. Following the acquisition of Vozelia in Spain, then 3StarsNet in Belgium, Sewan is continuing its external growth despite this current difficult economic context.
A new step has just been reached for Sewan in the constitution of its international physical network. The group has just announced the acquisition of 42one, a German operator of cloud-based telecommunications services, which employs 16 people in Berlin. More than 200 companies use their solutions and technical expertise. 42one, which will soon become Sewan Germany, will be a major asset for Sewan in approaching this new European chapter.
“This takeover is part of our company’s European development project. We are extremely proud to integrate 42one, a company recognized in its market, with expertise that complements our own. Their infrastructures, their knowledge of the local market and the quality of their tools were decisive factors in our decision process“, explains Alexis de Goriainoff, CEO of Sewan.
Strategic support for approaching the German market
The team based in Berlin will be responsible for distributing all Sewan solutions. The group will thus be able to benefit from operational and strategic support on the German market. “The success and growth of Sewan in France, and in recent years in Europe, were decisive factors in our decision to join the Group. The tools offered, and in particular Sophia, a 100% automated portal, are undeniable assets for addressing the highly competitive German market,” says Thomas Reinig, CEO of 42one.
Address national markets appropriately
Sewan wants to address national markets appropriately with a differentiating business model, and thus strengthen its proximity to its partners wherever its solutions are distributed. The Group relies on a dedicated white-label indirect system to make life easier for its partners, a value in common with 42one’s DNA. Through this acquisition, Sewan brings a very complete product catalogue but also its expertise in distribution.
A particular economic context
The finalization of this acquisition takes place in a specific context. “We did not anticipate a final remote signature between Sewan and 42one. This makes this acquisition a little special for us. But this situation is not a source of concern for the future of the company or our international development strategy. We are confident that economic activity will be great again” concludes Alexis de Goriainoff.
